Cationic surfactants
Cationic surfactants are used as corrosion inhibitors, flotation reagents, bactericidal, disinfectant and fungicidal agents. In an aqueous solution, they decompose to form positively charged ions. The use of cationic surfactants is due to their adsorption on virtually any surface - anticorrosive components, antistatic agents, anti-caking agents, conditioners, bactericides, dispersants and softeners - the main areas of use.
