Cellulose ethers for paints and varnishes

Cellulose ester polymers are used in the paint and varnish industry as thickeners for water-based paints. A decrease in the degree of polymerization results in a loss of ink viscosity (paint thinning). Cellulose ethers not only thicken the paint, but also provide the paint with excellent mechanical properties and storage stability.
