Myristic acid

Myristic acid helps to restore the protective properties of the skin. Possesses excellent sliding and lubricating properties. When neutralized with alkali, it is used in emulsion creams as a structure-forming and emulsifying component; it is used in cosmetics to stabilize and thicken emulsions. It is used in cosmetics to enhance the penetration of other components into the skin.
