Plain Polyesters
Polyesters are heterochain polymers containing regularly repeated C-O-C groupings in the main chain.
Simple aliphatic polyesters include: polyacetals, alkylene oxide polymers, alkylene oxide copolymers with each other, with acetals or vinyl monomers, cyclic polymers, aromatic polyesters – polyarylene oxides.
Esters are used as structural and electrical insulation materials in the automotive industry, electronics, electrical, radio and plumbing, medicine (tool handles, prosthetic parts, grafts, etc.), chemical machinery-
construction. In addition, they are used for the manufacture of injection molding products with tight tolerances, as a film-forming protective paint and varnish materials and for applying anti-corrosion coatings to chemical equipment and pipes.
