Systems for rigid polyurethane foam
The structure of rigid polyurethane foams is formed from closed cells. Polyurethane foam is stiff and has a good thermal conductivity, lower than wood, stone wool, expanded polystyrene and other insulating materials. Therefore, these foams exhibit better thermal insulation properties.
Polyisocyanurate foam, also known as PIR, is used for the manufacture of sandwich panels with high fire resistance, since special additives, catalysts and other non-combustible agents are used in their production.
