UTS Group participated in the annual Congress of European Chemical Distributors (FECC), which took place on June 4-6 in Nice. This high-profile event was attended by leading distributors of chemical products from Europe, as well as by numerous suppliers, such as BASF, Synthomer, A.Schulman and others.
UTS was represented by Lars Hjorth and Sergey Andreev. The participants of the congress showed a vivid interest to our company. Besides the plenary session, various meetings were held both with current partners and with potential suppliers. “This is a good venue to understand modern trends in the distribution business and what is happening in the market place. We met our old friends and partners and could establish new ties,” Lars Hjorth, the Managing Director UTS Scandinavia AB, said.
The publication of the ICIS rating of the world's leading chemical distributors was timed to coincide with the congress. UTS Group occupied the 37th place in Europe and the 75th place in the world. "For me this result is, first of all, a recognition of the efforts of our entire team in the region. But this is not a reason to let the grass grow under our feet and to consider ourselves satisfied with what we have achieved. There is still a big job to be done in order to strengthen the UTS's market position," Andrey Shkola, the General Director of UTS Group, says.
